The Coaches

Ken Rossi - Head Coach

Ken Rossi is in his fifth season as Head Coach of the Wolfpack. He is a 1993 graduate of Jefferson Township High School, where he compiled a 134-9 career record wrestling for the Falcons. He was a four time state place winner (7, 2, 3, 2), a two time Region 1 Champ, a two-time Morris County Tournament Champ, and a four time District 3 Champ. During his junior and senior years, Ken was a captain of the Falcons, the #1 ranked team in New Jersey both years. Ken attended James Madison University and earned a BA in Kinesiology with a minor in Education. During his college career he compiled an 89-26 record. As a sophomore, he was the Colonial Athletic Association Champion at 118lbs., which earned him an automatic berth to the NCAA Division I National Championships. He was an NCAA Academic All-American three times. After graduating from JMU in 1998, Ken was hired to teach Physical Education at West Morris. In 2003, he became the Head Coach of the Girls Soccer Team. Prior to taking over the wrestling program at West Morris, Coach Rossi was the Head Coach of his alma mater, Jefferson Township High School. While coaching a Jefferson, the Falcons reached the Sectional Finals twice. He also coached two-time NJSIAA State Champion, Dan Vallimont, while leading the Falcons. Currently, Ken resides in Jefferson with his wife Andrea.

Jim Balella - Assistant Coach

Jim Balella is in his tenth season as an Assistant Coach for the Wolfpack. He is a 1994 graduate of Hackettstown High School. At Hackettstown, Jim was a captain of the wrestling team, a two time district place winner, and a state qualifier as a senior. Coach Balella attended Springfield College and graduated with a BA in Recreation Management. As a senior captain at Springfield, Jim was NECCWA champ which qualified him for the NCAA Division III Nationals. At the Nationals, Jim finished second earning him All-American honors. After graduating from Springfield, he earned his Health and Physical Education teaching license from West Morris. He has been teaching Physical Education and Health for six years. Jim also coaches the Girls JV Volleyball team at West Morris. Under his command, the JV team is 144-37. The Varsity has won seven Morris County titles and a Group 3 championship in 2009. Jim currently resides in Hackettstown with his wife Leslie and daughters Mia Cara, Gianna Grace and Ava James.

Chris Marold - Assistant Coach

Chris Marold is in his fourth season as an Assistant Coach of the Wolfpack. He is a 2006 graduate of Rider University where he was a three year starter for the Broncos. Chris graduated from West Morris Mendham High School where he earned four varsity letters and was the Minuteman captain in his junior and senior years. While at Mendham, Chris was a two time Morris County Champion and placed fifth in the NJSIAA State Tournament his senior year. He was also a two time NHSCA High School All-American winning a National Championship at 171lbs in 2001. Chris is in his third season as the Girls Soccer JV coach and boasts a 42-1-3 record in that time . Coach Marold is in his fourth year as a full time mathematics teacher at West Morris Central. He currently resides in Hackettstown.

Chris DelPreore - Assistant Coach

Chris has been working as a strength trainer at West Morris for nine years. He is a graduate of Roxbury High School ('92) where he played football and baseball for the Gaels. Chris played baseball for St. Peter's College and graduated in 1996. Mr. Del received his Masters from Virginia Commonwealth University where he also served as the head strength coach for Women's Soccer, Women's Volleyball, Women's Field Hockey, and Women's Track and Field. Chris has been a Business Teacher at West Morris for twelve years.
